Video surveillance cameras, phones, televisions – everything is transitioning from analog to IP.
Excelling in the radio industry for over 50 years, Wells Communications is thrilled with the digital developments of radio communications. As we embrace this infrastructure, we are eager to educate our customers so you too can experience the benefits. Motorola’s MOTOTRBO enhanced two-way radio systems have joined the digital explosion; their purpose, to provide dependable, crisp, clear communications with greater coverage allowing greater productivity and efficiency for all users – from businesses and municipalities, school districts and hospitals.
Now, portable and mobile radios – and hybrid repeaters, which allow a smooth transition from analog to digital systems – are being used as more of a business tool than simply the invaluable communications solution they have been providing for so long. With an extended IMPRES battery life of roughly 40%, MOTOTRBO, using TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access) technology, allows two conversations to carry on at once. Similar to a cellular phone, each radio, once programmed, has the option to configure multiple users (via contact lists) to communicate with both individuals and groups. In addition to voice communications, data features have been added giving users the ability to send text messages (both canned and new) between users.
GPS radios are also available… with the addition of mapping software, your dispatcher has the ability to monitor and manage your fleet directly from their PC workstation, as well as send both text and email messages. Dispatching right from your desk, seeing in real-time where your workers and assets are; these tools are becoming mainstay in business today.
Fleet management is the easiest way to go green and save money in the process. NY State is mandating that all school systems control the amount of time their busses idle. Not to exceed 3 minutes, man-hours are used to monitor this. Can you spare the time?
What if you had a system that managed that for you? That is where we at Wells Communications can help. Regulate speed… stay in allotted territories… manage timely pick-ups and drop off’s… let our team help you offer better service to your customers – your community – while increasing efficiency and productivity at the same time. We owe it to our workers – for safety and reliability – to provide them with the coverage they need on the job. We owe it to our customers in the form of improved service. We owe it to our businesses to maximize our efficiency and capabilities.

“Our in-building coverage in the Village of Lake Placid has improved by 30% using MOTOTRBO”, says Lake Placid Village Communications Commissioner Tom Politi, “MOTOTRBO is revolutionizing radio communication and is nothing less than a new era in radio”.
